Arizonans will now have the chance to vote for or against legalizing cannabis in the state this November. On Monday, August 10th, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs announced that the Smart and Safe Arizona initiative collected enough valid signatures for the petition to qualify. It will be placed on Arizona’s November ballot as Proposition 207.

Massachusetts’ Commonwealth Dispensary Association (CDA) announced on Monday, August 10th, that the adult-use cannabis industry has now brought in $150 million dollars since it was legalized in November 2018.
In a statement, CDA President David Torrisi highlighted what a “big moment” it is for the Massachusetts cannabis industry “because it shows not only the great demand for safe, regulated cannabis but also affirms the meaningful value this industry brings to cities and towns every single day.”

As of Monday, August 10th, New Jersey residents can now be approved for medical cannabis (and other prescription drugs) through virtual appointments with licensed health care professionals. Doctors must adhere to the same standards as if it were an in-person visit. The new policy is only valid through the end of the COVID-19 crisis.
Let’s Get Higher
A study released earlier this month in Sexual Medicine indicates that women who frequently smoke cannabis tend to have better sex. Researchers recruited 452 women at their local dispensaries and invited them to participate in an anonymous survey assessing their sexual activity over a four week period. Their findings showed that women who consume cannabis regularly report higher arousal and better orgasms than the control group.
