Virginia’s CannaPlans
The state of Virginia could be the first of the southeastern states to turn green. Democratic Governor Ralph Northam announced plans to introduce legislation to legalize adult-use cannabis in Virginia, according to the Washington Post.

On Thursday, November 18th, Mexico’s Senate approved a landmark cannabis legalization measure. According to Reuters, “Senators voted 82 to 18 to approve the measure, with seven abstentions.”
The measure has now been sent for another vote to the other house of Mexico’s Congress, the Chamber of Deputies. The legislation would establish a regulated cannabis market in Mexico, allowing adults 18 and older to cultivate up to six plants for their personal use purchase and possess up to 28 grams of cannabis (as long as consumption does not occur in front of minors).

A San Luis Obispo Superior court has ruled to bar cannabis billboards along California’s 4,315 miles of interstate highways, according to the Los Angeles Times. The presiding Judge, Ginger E. Garrett, ruled the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) overstepped its authority in 2019 when it adopted regulations allowing for cannabis billboards to advertise along California freeways.
