Molten Chocolate Microwave Lava Cake
Start to finish: 5 — 10 minutes
Serves 2
2.5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon. + 1 teaspoon buttermilk or regular milk
2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 desired doses of unflavored THC/CBD tincture
1/5 cup sugar
1/3 cup + 2 teaspoons cake flower
2 tablespoons. + 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
10 mg Incredibles Sin City Chocolate Bar
3 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
To make these infused lava cakes, you will first need to find your best 11 ounce mugs, and set them aside.
Then, in a bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients — melted butter, buttermilk, oil, vanilla extract, and egg.
Next, in another bowl, whisk the dry ingredients — sugar, cake flower, cocoa powder, and salt together.
Pour the wet ingredients into dry ones, and stir. If the batter looks lumpy, use the whisk to break up any lumps. Then, stir in the chocolate chips.
Divide the batter equally between each mug and add the Incredibles Sin City Chocolate Bar to the center. Microwave until the cakes rise and puff up. They will look like they’re about to overflow in the mugs. Start with 1 minute. Then do 15 second increments until the sides and top have set, leaving the hot gooey cake batter hidden inside (This can take up to 2 minutes, depending on the microwave)
Now, it is time to remove the mugs from microwave. Wait for 1 minute, and let them cool before serving. Now, it is time to enjoy your lava cakes!
