The hit single Peaches by Justin Bieber is not only a song, but now a pre-roll. Meanwhile, he isn’t the only celebrity who’s gotten into the industry lately.
In fact, many celebrities in recent years have started getting into the cannabis industry, even celebrities that don’t fit the stereotypical stoner image that Hollywood so commonly portrays.
6 Celebrities who are Getting Into Cannabis
Gwenyth Paltrow
In October 2020, actress Gwyenth Paltrow announced that she would be endorsing Cann, a cannabis-infused beverage maker. Cann beverages contain small doses of both THC and CBD, and are advertised as a social drink and an alternative to alcohol.
According to CNBC, Paltrow personally doesn’t use recreational cannabis. But she states that she believes officials should legalize cannabis nationally, and that it offers medicinal qualities that alleviate pain. Cann co-founder, Luke Anderson, stated that he hopes that Paltrow’s large following will help attract new customers looking for an alternative to an alcoholic beverage.
Martha Stewart
In September 2020, American businesswoman and television personality, Martha Stewart, became another high-profile celebrity to announce that she’s entering the cannabis industry. In fact, Stewart is collaborating with Canadian cannabis company Canopy Growth. Her line of cannabis products, Martha Stewart CBD, features CBD gummies, tinctures, and also pet food and treats.
American Rapper and avid cannabis user, Snoop Dogg was the one who introduced Stewart to Canopy Growth, according to Town and Country Magazine. Canopy Growth also produces Snoopp Dogg’s cannabis brand, Leafs by Snoopp.

Many know actress Kristen Bell for her role on the popular show The Good Place, or as the infamous voice of gossip girl on the hit teen drama and CW show, Gossip Girl. However, Bell recently launched a line of CBD products called Happy Dance. Happy Dance consists of bath bombs, body butter, and coconut melts.
The line is sold at Ulta Beauty in collaboration with Lord Jones. Bell wanted to create a product that demystified CBD and wasn’t based on the negative stoner stereotypical. Additionally, her mission was to create reasonabley-priced goods for everyone interested in the products according to Allure. Consequently, this is the primary reason Bell wanted to sell the product at Ulta. Happy Dance is also partnering with Susan Burton’s New Way of Life Reentry Project, a project that aims to aid communities that are disproportionately affected by cannabis-related offenses. As a result, 1% Happy Dance profits are donated to the New Way of Life Reentry Project.
Whoopi Goldberg
Whoopi Goldberg is an American actor, author, and co-host on The View. Rachel Rapinoe
When most people hear the name Rapinoe, the first person they think of is Megan Rapinoe, the professional American soccer player. However, many people are unaware that Megan has a twin sister, Rachel, who played alongside Megan at the University of Portland. Rachel has since retired from soccer due to injuries, and has founded Mendi, an Oregon-based CBD company with the mission of helping athletes heal through the use of cannabis instead of immediately gravitating towards over-the-counter pain relievers like Advil or Tylenol.
Rapinoe revealed in an interview with NBCSW that suffering multiple serious injuries throughout her soccer career is what inspired her to start a natural cannabis company directed towards athletes. Mendi features gummies that the company formulated to help consumers thrive by better managing pain, inflammation, mood, and sleep.
Justin Bieber
Canadian singer Justin Bieber recently announced that he is launching his own cannabis line, which similarly to his 2021 single, is also named Peaches. Together in partnership with cannabis manufacturer Palms, they launched Peaches, which features a line of premium pre-rolled joints.
