With so many strains of weed out there, it can be hard to decide what I am in the mood for. NY Finca produces a variety of pre-rolls great for sharing with friends, morning sessions, or night-time relaxation.
About Finca
Located in Central New York, NY Finca functions less like a company and more like a “multi-generational farming family,” according to their website.
The community grows cannabis as well as crops, and uses an agroforestry land management system. In Latino culture, finca “represents a rural estate or farmstead,” the company explains.
By engaging in such an array of farming, NY Finca provides a sustainable and deeply satisfying flower. For this reason, I was excited to dig into their selection of pre-rolls to wind down or to start my day with.
Space Cookies

After a day of running errands, I decided to try out the Space Cookies pre-roll, which features a hybrid flower that’s composed of Skywalker, Starkiller, and GSC.
Within a few minutes, a wave of relaxation came over me and I felt a refreshing lightness spread across my head. A subtle but pleasant body high also kicked in, leaving me feeling truly weightless.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience with the Space Cookies hybrid. Some things that I noticed, though, were a kick to the back of my throat, a deep, almost buttery flavor profile, a glazed-over feeling in my mouth, and a fogginess which lingered for a few hours after smoking.
Serendipity

For a wake and bake session, my friend and I chose the Serendipity hybrid, a combination of Oreo BS, Dropping Sprinklez, and Rainbow Mac.
When I popped open the tube, I was met with a sweet herbal scent with notes of pomegranate. The first hit left no aftertaste and was not as harsh as Space Cookies.
Serendipity definitely lived up to its name. My body felt extremely relaxed and I was very clear-headed. It was an uplifting, serene head-high that left me feeling motivated for the day ahead. Another perk—there was no lingering fogginess afterwards.
Overall, I’d recommend Serendipity to anyone who enjoys an uplifting morning session without feeling tired afterwards.
Hazy Daisy

My last pre-roll from NY Finca was their Hazy Daisy hybrid. This strain is a mix of Blue Dream, Tangerine Dream, and G13 Haze. The smell and taste were very faint but I was able to pick up notes of lemon.
This strain was perfect after a rather tiring day. After a few hits, my limbs felt loose and I was feeling particularly settled with my surroundings. I was also deeply relaxed. I found myself slightly swaying, even after I stood up.
Needless to say, it delivered a true body high. I felt quite hazy in the best way possible. This smoke was incredibly needed and enjoyable to ease me into a relaxing state. I could feel Hazy Daisy’s effects in my arms and back while also experiencing a pleasant, serene head high.
Test Results
As always, testing products is vital to make sure they are safe, and accurately labeled. All of NY Finca’s products come with a QR code which brings customers directly to the certificate of analysis (COA) for their products.
All three of the strains I used, Space Cookies, Serendipity, and Hazy Daisy, passed their testing for heavy metals, pesticides, and mycotoxins, the toxic compounds naturally produced by certain fungi.
The THC content for each of these strains, though, seems to be missing from the COAs. Each of the pre-roll tubes come with an advertised THC content, and typically, the COA should include it as well so consumers know exactly how much they are taking in. However, the test results do not list any cannabinoid content at all, which is notable.
Final Thoughts
Each of these pre-rolls offers something different.
For example, Space Cookies was a heavier experience in taste and inhale. It also offered a long-lasting high. Whereas Serendipity was the perfect wake and bake choice with its uplifting and clear-headed effects. And Hazy Daisy calmed my body and mind to create an equilibrium.
Let’s talk about pricing. I appreciate when pre-rolls come in a two-pack, like Space Cookies does, as it makes it easier to share with a friend or a group. At just over $18, it’s a great deal for two grams, especially considering it has the highest percentage of THC. On the other hand, Serendipity and Hazy Daisy contain less THC, are sold individually, and deliver a different sort of high.
With these pre-rolls, decisions about which pre-roll to purchase comes down to what sort of high one is looking for. Personally, I will definitely go back for Hazy Daisy and would consider Serendipity for sharing with friends on a night out.
Although the THC content is advertised on the individual pre-roll tubes, it was missing on the COA. This did bring down the rating slightly because advertising THC content in a COA is important for transparency.
NY Finca has a deep knowledge of and connection with the land they work on. With such careful cultivation skills, they can identify the best seeds and compose incredible strains, delivering a diverse collection of pre-rolls to choose from.
