Seattle is full of fun and interesting options for dispensaries. Have a Heart boasts five locations in Washington, three of which are in downtown Seattle.
Have a Heart, Belltown
Just a short walk from Pike Place Market, Have a Heart — a recreational dispensary — has built a reputation for its wide variety of cannabis products. From concentrates to pre-rolls to gummies, the inside of their location in Belltown is very user-friendly. With glass cases lining the right wall as consumers walk in, it’s easy to peruse what Have a Heart has to offer.
Inside, a team of experts is ready to answer questions. Even when thrown a couple hard questions, their employees were always knowledgeable and eager to help.
Cannabis shopping is made into a real experience inside Have a Heart. The interior of this shop is full of interesting wall art and neon signs. Their walls feature graphics behind their display cases and a wild display of Seattle’s skyline.
The In-Store Selection
Have a Heart showcases different distributors from throughout the state, including Refine, a Washington-based, infused joint company.
“Combining clean, flavorful buds with a variety of our award-winning hash oild through in-house techniques we’ve developed to gently blend and infuse each joint,” according to Refine’s website.
Have a Heart also partners with Lifted, a cannabis producer in Washington. Lifted aims to provide medical-grade flower and oil concentrates to all consumers.
Customers can also find House of Cultivar’s indoor-grown cannabis products at Have a Heart as well. House of Cultivar grows without pesticides and uses hands-on techniques to provide high-quality products, according to their website.
The Virtual Experience
Have a Heart’s website allows users to check out all five of their locations virtually. It’s easy to navigate and gives information about what makes each location unique. Online ordering is available as well with their extensive assortment of products.
This is also where they list daily and weekly deals going on at their individual locations. For example, every two weeks, the dispensary discounts 14 of their products up to 50%.
The website also includes a blog. The company posts regularly with updates on products, their locations, and cannabis news.
Have a Heart’s website is user-friendly, and it also provides information about the company’s charitable causes in 2019-2020. For example, members of Have a Heart participated in community clean-ups, local marches, food and clothing drives, homeless supply drives and more. Emerald reached out for further information about their recent efforts, and did not hear back by press time.
It is clear is that the dispensary supports Washington operators, their community, and has an impressive selection of products for both novel and experienced consumers.
I have a tic disorder (similar to Tourette’s) and tend to blurt out words or twitch when stressed. Weed helps. I went inside and quickly found the cheapest weed since I was also spending a lot for gifts that day. I saw it was cash-only and put my debit in the atm. My new PIN slipped my mind for a moment so I let out a quick “no!” with a cringe. Security walks over and says “If you’re not shopping, you’ll need to leave.”
Uhhh… wtf? I was clearly shopping! I browsed the merch and put a card in the atm, so what else did he think i was doing? How much more obviously shopping could I be? But it wasn’t about that, it’s just that my mental disorder showed for a moment so he decided i was riff-raff to be moved along. Nevermind that mentally ill people need weed more than most, or that everyone invoked our struggles politically when they wanted it legalized.
Anyway, I remebered my PIN and finished my transaction calmly. Once I got outside I told the guard to his face that it was wrong. He could have just apologized for his mistake, we all have blind spots, but instead he said i was banned (like i care) with the faint cocky smile of someone who gets off exerting power over ppl. That’s when I really flipped and made sure everyone in earshot knew what a narsty little bi*** he was.
And here’s the punchline: the place is called “Have a Heart”! A better name would be “Close Your Heart To Anyone You Don’t Understand.” You might think it’s just that one guard, but it was very public and and lasted a while and everyone just looked the other way, which indicates the company culture is bad even if some employees are secretly cool.
So please, if you actually have a heart, don’t patronize this bigoted pseudo-liberal business if you can avoid it. Oh sure they did a little charity drive for the homeless to get publicity, but then they hassle them every day! So fake.
