These warm drinks are filled with fall flavors like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. They are quick and easy to use and can provide a range of effects. They also make a great pairing with other fall-inspired pastries, like Emerald’s Apple Pie Bars.
Feel free to infuse each with a tincture of choice. Cannabis tinctures (whether they are infused with THC, CBD or other cannabinoids) have cannabinoids and terpenes that can help relieve pain, increase appetite, reduce anxiety, and many other things.
Sweet Chai Latte
Flavors like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom make for a delicious warm spice. This Sweet Chai Latte is slightly sweet, but try adding ginger for a spicy kick.
Serves: 2
Start to finish: 15 minutes
1 teaspoon of whole cardamom seeds
2 sticks of cinnamon (3 inches each)
1 whole nutmeg (grated)
2 Black tea bags
10 whole cloves
2 cups of water
2 cups milk (traditionally whole, but any milk will work)
Maple syrup (to taste)
Optional: a few drops of a tincture of choice
Optional: a dash of ginger
Add two cups of water to a pot and heat until boiling. Next at the cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves (and ginger). Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Then, add two bags of black tea and remove from heat for around 5 minutes.
While the tea steeps, heat up milk in a separate pot and whisk vigorously, or use a milk frother. Add the milk and the maple syrup (to taste) to the other pot with the black tea and spices.
Strain into two cups. Then serve, and enjoy!
Optional: Add a couple of drops from a tincture for the desired effect.
Cinnamon Apple Cider
There is nothing better than fresh apple cider from a farm on a cool autumn day. But it’s easy to recreate this fall classic at home. It’s also simple to spice up store-bought apple cider with cinnamon and cloves to add some warmth to the crisp flavor of apple cider.
Serves: 2
Start to finish: 15 minutes
3 cinnamon sticks
10 whole cloves
1 whole nutmeg (grated)
4 cups of Apple cider
Maple syrup (to taste)
Optional: Tincture of choice
Add the apple cider to a pot and bring to a boil. Next, add the spices and wait 5 minutes.
Then remove from heat and wait 5 more minutes.
Add maple syrup (to taste) before straining and serving. One can also top each serving with grated nutmeg and a fresh cinnamon stick, and add a few drops of their favorite tincture for added effects.
