Jamie Lea incorporates cannabis into Toastyy’s products with a motive to help consumers discover their best selves.
The CBD company is based in Los Angeles and offers tinctures, topicals, and dietary supplements. The online business offers vegan and non-GMO products made with the highest-quality hemp extract.
Lea, an herbalist, founded Toastyy in 2020. Lea is a former athlete, model and entrepreneur who has advocated for cannabis since she was 17. She played Division 1 volleyball at Loyola Marymount University in L.A. and graduated with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degree. After graduation, she moved to New York City where she eventually started her hemp company during the COVID pandemic and has been on the rise ever since.
Why a CBD business?
Lea, like most, wanted to find something that she was passionate about. Ever since high school, she realized the benefits of CBD. Particularly, Lea finds it effective at relieving stress, anxiety, pain, and work and sports injuries. She decided to implement her positive experiences with a business that would offer CBD products and help others see the advantages too.
Additionally, she says her mother and grandmother also share her passion and support her CBD company. Their encouragement further inspired Lea to start her hemp company, and create impactful solutions for health and wellness.
Lea’s favorite Toastyy product so far is the High CBD Sunrise Tablet. Caffeine makes her jittery, she says, so she does not drink beverages containing it. Instead, she jump-starts her morning each day with the Sunrise Tablet. The tablet contains a CBD isolate formula with vitamin C and B12 to promote natural energy.
Toastyy’s Philanthropic Causes
Lea, who is a media partner of Emerald, is very adamant about giving back to the community and the people that have helped her along the way. When she initially created her company, Lea’s biggest driving force was giving back to places like her home state of North Carolina, which included participating in movements to end social and criminal injustice.
Currently, Toasty is partnering with the Last Prisoner Project. The organization itself aims to grant freedom to those who have suffered criminal convictions and consequences due to cannabis.
Another way that Lea wants to give back to her community is to create a scholarship for athletes. The entrepreneur, who earned a full scholarship to college, enjoyed playing sports throughout her life and understands that expenses can be challenging for many families.
She is one of three daughters and knows that it was difficult for her parents to afford university. Therefore, she wants to give others the opportunity to pursue and participate in sports, which is aligned with her business goals — promoting health and wellness.
