Every smoker has experienced cottonmouth, and quite frankly, there’s nothing more annoying on a hot summer day. While cannabis is known to cause dry mouth, Flintts Moutherwatering Mints say they are here to help.
So, how do they work? Essentially, our submandibular salivary glands, the same ones that contain cannabinoid receptors, are responsible for 70 percent of saliva production.
When you use cannabis, the cannabinoids that bind to those receptors prevent your ECS (endocannabinoid system) from sending messages to your parasympathetic nervous system. Your nervous system has no one telling it to keep the saliva flowing. Not only is dry mouth uncomfortable, but it’s also bad for your teeth and breath. Recognizing this small, yet terribly annoying, condition that plagues nearly every smoker, whether you’re puffing on tobacco or cannabis alike, Flintts have created a solution.
The active ingredient in the mints, SatoriPlus Distillate, is Flintts’ unique botanical blend of ingredients. The main one is the Spilanthes flower. Having grown Spinanthles flowers in his vegetable garden, Flintts Mints’ founder, Russell Adler discovered the plant’s abilities after one nibble, and the rest was history. Adler knew he needed to share his indescribable experience with the world.
Packaged in an adorable tin for aesthetic and portability appeal, they’re pretty much the prettiest mints a gal could ask for. However, while they have certainly found themselves a marketable and necessary means of use, mixed reviews from our testers have found the execution to fall a bit short.
“While I wanted so badly to like these mint as I frequently suffer from dry mouth, I was unfortunately disappointed by the most important aspect, the taste,” expressed Jason, one of our test subjects.
On the other hand, the founder of Grass Is Greener PR, Sarah ElSayed, has always been a huge fan of Flintts, “My friends and I call them ‘Flintts’ Magical Mints!’ Sometimes water does the trick, other times I need seltzer, and other times Flintts is the only thing that works,” she expressed. “The tingling sensation is different, but not bad, and just takes some getting used to …. a small sacrifice for a product that works so well.”
The aftermath of these babies seemed to be the main cause of concern with our test subjects, who complained of numbness and a displeasing aftertaste. “The purpose is to prevent cotton mouth, but instead it replaces it with a numb feeling until you spit it out and drink water to relieve the taste,” stated Devan, a student at Baruch College. “At first it tastes/feels like a mint you take when leaving a restaurant, then it goes downhill,” he continued.
While this product is made in three different flavors and concentration levels of SatoriPlus Distillate (denoted by the F-Strength rating), we found the Mint F Strength 200 to be a bit much.
“While I really like the packaging and idea of the product, I feel like this sample might be too strong as it made my mouth feel numb to an uncomfortable degree” reflected another user, Kyle. “I think if you cut the strength in half you would have a much more appealing product,” he continued .
However, while our average rating of Flintts Mints was a disappointing 4/10 emeralds, we encourage you to try them out for yourself as everyone’s taste buds are different!

Hey Rita,
Thanks for the article and honest feedback.
At Flintts, we’re continuously tweaking and refining our mints to provide the best possible experience. We actually just released a new run of mints with improved flavoring that dissolve slower (and thus providing a more pleasurable experience vs hitting all at once).
Separately, to the last reviewer’s suggestion of a lower powered mint, we actually are in the works of developing a lower strength that we think will address those with more sensitive palates. It’s going to be watermelon flavored, and is quite delicious imo. If you’d like, just email me your information at wes@flintts.com and I’d be happy to provide an early sample!
Thanks again
Wesley

hi the mints are great but anything above 200 is definitely way too much. it is a unique experience in your mouth but you definitely need to rinse it out with water

Personally, these mints are fantastic. Whenever I settle down into my nightly ganja routine the biggest issue is dry mouth. The music surrounds me, my low multicolored lights set the vibe, and my mountain of snacks indices me. But, my mouth mocks me. I can’t enjoy these things with a dry mouth; nobody can. Scrolling through tiktok during one of these nights in which my mouth was wanting, I saw flintts mints. Long story short, I bought lemon (I wanted the most intense and salivating expirience minus the more powerful ginger flavor) and was not disappointed. The taste is sweet and lemony, but with a sort of chalky or medical hint to it. I can’t complain though, as these aren’t made for enjoyment of taste, but rather moistening of the mouth. I bought two 3-packs, and anticipate a long ride of moist mouth.

This product is awful in my opinion. First use and I felt like my mouth was on fire! I had to rinse for ten minutes and even after I still had a weird, hot, numbing sensation in my mouth! There should be a warning on the package! The entire day after I felt ill!

I am not a cannabis user but do have medical conditions that cause dry mouth side effects.
As stated by others, you have to find the level that works for you. I bought their multipack and after trying all the levels, I found that the two lowest (Watermelon – 100 and Cherry – 150) work best for me. The watermelon barely stung. The other two (Orange – 175 and Lemon – 250) were too much and I did not buy their other flavors, thinking that they would definitely be too much. Do they work? Definitely.

Just bought them and i like them. Not sure if they make my mouth water but the buzzy buzz buzz stopped my panic attack in its tracks. So…. Not exactly what it was needed for but useful😂

I agree with the majority of your testers. I just couldn’t do it, the sensation of stinging on my tongue was overwhelming. They’re also not cheap, so I’m out a bunch of money now, as they do not give refunds. 😟

I’ve heard a lot of reviews about the Flintts Mints and finally received them in the mail yesterday ( I have the watermelon, cherry, tangerine, mint, strawberry and the lemon). I’m not a stoner but I do drink coffee a lot, which gives me dry mouth. They DID NOT disappoint!! The Watermelon one is enough to wet my mouth without going overboard. So far my favorites are the Strawberry and Mint ones. I haven’t tested them out for the “NSFW” reasons but it did get rid of my gag reflex 🤷🏽♀️
