Women in Cannabis Online Summit Coming Saturday on Zoom
Ticket price dropped to honor economic hardship
BURLINGTON, Vermont – Due to the impacts of the novel coronavirus, cannabis media and events company, Heady Vermont, has moved its upcoming Women In Cannabis Summit to Zoom and dropped the ticket price to $20 for full and ongoing access to all event content.
Taking place on Zoom Saturday, April 11th, the Women In Cannabis Summit will feature a keynote address by Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commissioner Shaleen Title (which will also be streamed live on the Heady Vermont Facebook page), and three simultaneous channels of programming, including a nurse-driven conversation on Cannabis And Parenting with Jessilyn Dolan and Dionne Heyliger from the Vermont Cannabis Nurses Association and Jessie Gill from Marijuana Mommy.
There will also be a panel discussion on Scaling Up Your Business with Executive Business Advisor AJ Van Wallendael, Tamala J. McBath, Chief Execution Officer of the National Cannabis Risk Management Association, and Meghan Lynch, president and CEO of brand development agency Six-Point Creative.
“We’re so grateful that in the middle of this crisis, our speakers have stayed committed to participating in the summit and that they’ve embraced the on-line format,” says Heady Vermont CEO, Monica Donovan. “We know they’re taking the long view, and believe that it’s important to keep investing time and energy into building a strong base of support for women in the cannabis industry.”
Donovan also notes some recent security issues with Zoom events but states that, “we’ve got strong security protocols in place, including event staff whose job it will be to immediately remove un-ticketed, and unwelcome, participants.”
Other topics for the day’s sessions include The History Of Cannabis Science, Building A Regenerative Business, and The Endocannabinoid System and Women’s Bodies. Attendees can also participate in a licensing application workshop, and a wellness-focused lunch-and-learn.
All sessions will be recorded and available to ticket-holders after the event. Tickets can be purchased online, and are $5 for Heady members and $20 for the general public.
Summit sponsors include Lily Hill CBD, Clover Gift Shop, Main Street Landing, Aromed Aromatherapy, Sarabia Holistic, Emerald, and Millia.
