Neon Flamingo is a good-looking flower that doesn’t try too hard. The buds are compact and noticeably sparkly thanks to a generous coating of trichomes, with vibrant orange hairs peeking through shades of green. While the flower isn’t especially loud visually, it has a healthy, fresh appearance that reflects a careful cure. The buds were slightly sticky to the touch. They broke apart easily by hand, and ground into a fluffy consistency that rolled well and burned evenly.
I took a few hits of Neon Flamingo before heading out to meet friends at Central Park. The high settled in with an upbeat, clear-headed energy that made the train trek go by easily without feeling overly stimulating.
Cerebral effects stayed prominent throughout. But there was enough body relaxation to keep everything feeling easygoing. It never crossed into couch-lock territory, making it a strain I’d happily reach for before a daytime adventure or an afternoon at the park.
Flavor was one of Neon Flamingo’s strongest qualities. Bright citrus leads the way. That’s followed by sweet berry notes and a subtle peppery finish that lingers pleasantly after each hit. The smoke stayed smooth throughout the joint and burned evenly from start to finish.
At $39.95 an eighth, Neon Flamingo delivers exactly what I’d want from a daytime hybrid. It’s got great flavor, a balanced high, and enough potency to satisfy without becoming overwhelming. It’s an approachable, versatile flower that earns a spot in the regular rotation.
