Kimberly Dillon is the first Black Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of a regulated cannabis business. Watch the interview below as she discusses working with Papa & Barkley and going from crockpot cannabis to launching products, branding the company and channeling the regulatory side of the industry.
Dillon also discusses how she entered the cannabis industry. “D.A.R.E. worked for me,” she explained. As such, she didn’t try cannabis until her early 30s. Her mom’s church community in Colorado first sparked her interest. Dillon came from a conservative Christian family. “I’ve never seen my family use alcohol,” she said. But as Dillon explained, through the encouragement of her mother, she now has her very own infused beauty line, Frigg Wellness. The company works with doctors and plant scientist to develop Frigg’s products, which include tea, tinctures and hair potions.
