For about five years now, I have suffered from chronic migraines, and have tried close to everything to help relieve them.
From prescribed medications, to physical exercise, I have truly only found one way to help alleviate my pain — through sleep.
But now, after trying Toastyy’s High CBD Hand and Body Lotion, I can say that this has helped alleviate the pressure of my migraines.
Chock-Full of Migraine-Relieving Ingredients
When I first got my Toastyy product, I used it on my hands and arms to get a feel for it and a sense of its aroma. It has a very gentle, light-weight application that doesn’t feel like a heavy moisturizer. The smell is also very light and airy. It gives off strong notes of citrus, with a mild smell of cannabis.
I was impressed with the lotion so far, so I decided to try it for a migraine I felt coming on. While some have found this lotion useful for dry skin and even joint pain, I thought it could help ease tension in my head.
Infused with plant oils, Toastyy’s High CBD lotion is chock-full of ingredients that help ease migraine pain and tension.
For example, many find the very first ingredient, aloe leaf juice, helpful in treating chronic migraines. According to the Times of India, “aloe vera vera juice is rich in salicylic acemannan and glucomannan, all powerful pain-killing anti-inflammatories, which also help relax sore, tight muscles.”
Another essential oil, lemongrass is infused inside this jar of healing. It is also one of the prominent smells in the lotion. Healthline reports that some species of lemongrass “[…] may relieve pain caused by headaches and migraine. The researchers believe that a compound in lemongrass called eugenol has similar abilities to aspirin.”
Toastyy’s CBD-infused lotion also has rosehip oil, which is filled with more vitamin C than lemons or oranges, according to Healthline.
Vitamin C is used to treat neurogenic inflammation in migraine patients, according to research in BioMed Research International.
Noticing the Difference
For me personally, migraines attack the muscles in my face, jaw and back of my neck.
Right before I went to bed, I took no more than a dollop of the lotion, picking it up with two fingers and lightly rubbing it across my forehead. This is where I always experience the most pain. So applying it there directly helped alleviate the pressure of the migraine.
As I started to wind down for bed, the scent started to fill my nose. The subtle hints of citrus and cannabis helped me relax and breathe better through the intense pain. Immediately, I felt relief from the pressure in my head.
Throughout the night I slept very well, and uninterrupted. I woke up to a pain free head, and a lot of energy.
As previously noted, sleep helps alleviate my migraines. That definitely contributed to my relief. But I felt that the lotion helped me to relax, soothe tension — and ultimately, fall asleep faster.
I especially like that Toastyy’s High CBD Hand and Body Lotion comes in a small circular jar. As a migraine sufferer, one of the hardest things is not knowing when or where a migraine will occur. With Toastyy’s lotion, I can carry it anywhere for instant pressure relief.

Hi Emma! This post is coming at the tail end of a 3-day migraine, and I’m wondering if the smell of the lotion is strong. I’d love to try this, but I’m incredibly sensitive to smells during migraine attacks. How strong is the scent, or do they have an unscented version?

Hey there Sharon!
I am so sorry to hear you are experiencing such pain and for so long! I’ve been there and I know how hard and exhausting it can be. The lotion smell is not strong, in fact, I think it is just right, You can smell the notes of citrus, but it is light and airy, Needless to say, the smell did not affect me or make the migrain worse, and also remember that a little goes a long way. There is no unscented version.
