Restore, Relief and Relax tinctures by Wellfounded Botanicals. Photo credit: Wellfounded Botanicals.
The American Psychological Association states an increasing number of people are using cannabis to find relief from issues including chronic illnesses, injuries, stress, and lack of sleep. A common issue however is that they can’t find the right products to soothe their needs.
Wellfounded Botanicals, founded by Sara Rotman, provides a product line to solve that issue.
The company offers a lineup of three curated tinctures: Restore, Relief, and Relax. All are formulated by Wellfounded differently to provide the specific effects that a consumer is looking for. Each also offers over 1,000 mg of total cannabinoids in every 30 mL bottle.
The sublinguals are part of an extensive beauty and wellness portfolio of products that Wellfounded designed to fit into everyday wellness rituals of cannabis consumers with diverse needs.
The tinctures, among the other Wellfounded products, contain additional active natural ingredients as well. These include green tea, blue spirulina, safflower seed oil, sea algae, pomegranate oil, and marula to name a few.
So, without further ado, here is my honest review of the three products.
Pre-Review Notes
Right off the bat, I have a great appreciation for the quality of the dropper and packaging. It’s no secret that these are premium and high-quality products. All three products come in different shades of blue, seemingly discerning the intensity of each.
The instructions on the box recommend starting with just a few drops under the tongue. However, as someone with a rather high tolerance, I decided to try a full dropper (for all three products in fact). For those with little or no tolerance, I highly recommend that one sticks to just a few drops. The instructions also state that effects may take up to two hours; so I waited patiently to fully feel the effects of each product.
I tried to stay controlled and objective, so I took two days off in between each product. I did this to ensure the effects of each product had left my body, as well as to slightly reset my tolerance.
20:1 Restore Tincture
~1,000 mg CBD/~50 mg THC
$84.99-$115
The Restore tincture is one that the company seems to curate for daytime remedies. The high CBD and low THC content are very attractive when seeking relief in the morning or during the day. In fact, Wellfounded states that this product offers minimal psychotropic effects, and is designed as an anti-inflammatory, pain reducer, and de-stresser.
One full dropper contains approximately 33.33 mg of CBD and 1.67 mg of THC.
I decided to use this tincture during the day, as that seems to be the intended use. The smell and taste of this product was superb. I typically find CBD sublinguals to have a very “weedy” and unpleasant taste. However I was pleased by the fruity, pomegranate-like taste.
As someone who typically doesn’t notice or feel the effects of CBD, I can’t say I was expecting much.
Roughly 30 minutes after consumption, I was surprised to notice a rather calming effect on my body. It felt like I had received a light massage, and that it relieved the back pain that I typically experience.
About an hour later, the soothing of my back pain persisted. I also started to get a slight euphoric feeling in my stomach area, which lifted my overall mood. I did not notice any psychoactive effects from the THC, but I blame my tolerance.
Both the soothiness and euphoria lasted up until about 3 hours after consumption.
Typically after taking large amounts of CBD, I end up feeling very tired/groggy. I definitely got that feeling with this tincture. To me, it seems like an unavoidable side-effect.
All things considered, I am very happy with this product, as it exceeded my expectations. The only negative side of this product is the groggy feeling I experienced hours after consumption.

1:1 Relief Tincture
~600 mg CBD/ ~600 mg THC
$84.99-$115
Wellfounded’s Relief tincture seems to offer a synergizing balance of moderate amounts of CBD and THC. It’s crafted to relieve pain and inflammation equally while providing a calming sense of well-being.
A full dropper of this tincture includes approximately 20 mg of CBD and 20 mg of THC.
Once again, I was greeted by a pleasantly fruity taste. One thing I started to notice was that these products left an oily feeling in my mouth. It wasn’t exactly unpleasant, just something I thought I should note.
Unlike the Restore tincture, I was not greeted by pain relief soon after consumption. For roughly an hour, I noticed the effects gradually building, which honestly was a slightly unpleasant feeling.
After an hour or so, I started to notice a high build up. I started feeling my eyes and body get heavier with time. About 2 hours later, I was sufficiently high, and feeling the full effect of the tincture.
The high was mellow but very noticeable. I felt calm and at ease while I sat comfortably gaming on my computer. One of the biggest effects that I started to notice was slight-drowsiness. As someone who typically looks for energizing or stimulating cannabis products, this wasn’t very enjoyable to me. About 2-3 hours later I was ready for bed.
That said, however, for those looking for something moderately-strong to help induce sleep, the effects of this tincture should be very well received.
Overall, the product was pretty enjoyable. The effects can be very useful depending on what one is looking for. I found the 1:1 CBD to THC made me want a stronger THC content, but like I’ve mentioned, I blame that on tolerance.

1:5 Relax Tincture
~200 mg CBD/~1,000 mg THC
$84.99-$115
The third and final tincture by Wellfounded — Relax — is their high-THC tincture. Wellfounded developed this product to soothe the body and mind, treat chronic pain, elevate mood, and provide a relaxed night’s sleep.
A full dropper of this tincture includes approximately 6.67 mg of CBD and 33.33 of THC.
I was very excited to try this product. I decided to wait until night time to try it as I was anticipating a relatively-strong high.
Similar to the other tinctures, it tastes fruity. I followed the same procedures as the last two and put a full dropper under my tongue.
Roughly 30 minutes after consumption, I started to feel a high building. I did not feel the same effects of the CBD as I did with the Restore tincture. As time went on, I felt my body and eyes get heavier, and I felt extremely relaxed. The high was very noticeable yet very pleasant, and I laid in my bed feeling content. I ended up falling asleep about 2 hours later.
I was very impressed with this product. The amount of THC it contains is extremely high, meaning one can easily pinpoint their dosage while not burning through the bottle. While I did not feel much effect from the CBD, it was expected, and the overall experience was still enjoyable.
I got what I expected with this tincture; a nice strong but relaxing high that would put me to sleep. The quality remained consistent with the other two products. I would definitely say that THC lovers will get what they want with this product.

Lab Results
Testing matters. Consumers deserve to know whether they are getting what the company advertised to them or not. Consumers also deserve to know if their favorite products contain toxins, pesticides, etc.
Wellfounded was quick to deliver lab results upon request for all three tested tinctures.
Before hopping into the results, it is important to note that experts suggest that products should contain a range of +/-10% of what’s on the label. If it falls within that range, it earns an A; 20% earns a B; 30% a C; and 31% or more fails.
First off, the results for the Restore tincture confirm that the product passes all health tests. Regarding CBD and THC content, the product passes the test as well.
According to the label, it should contain roughly 1,000 mg CBD and 50 mg THC. Results reveal it contains a total of 1039 mg of CBD and 54.18 mg of THC. Overall, the contents fall within 10% of what the company advertises, and earn an A.
Moving onto the results for the Relief tincture, again we see it passed all health tests. Regarding the CBD and THC content, the results are up to par.
According to the label, it should contain 600 mg CBD and 600 mg THC. Results show that, overall, this tincture contains 649.86 mg CBD and 552.36 mg THC. This falls within 10% of what is advertised, and it earns an A.
Finally, for the Relax tincture, once again we see it passes the health tests. For this product, the results were similar to that of the Relief tincture.
The tincture should have 200 mg CBD and 1,000 mg THC. Lab results show the product contains 219.78 mg CBD and 906.40 mg THC. This also falls within the -/+10% ranges earns an A rating.
Conclusion
Overall I found this product line to be very enjoyable. I appreciate Wellfounded Botanicals’ approach to high-quality and effective CBD/THC products, and I think they nailed it. I can tell the tinctures are premium and trustworthy.
With high THC/CBD content comes a high price. Starting at around $85 for each tincture, one may be skeptical to pull the trigger on purchasing. However, the price point is very fair when you consider and compare other high-content tinctures.
The lab results all exceed expectations as well. When advertising such high CBD and THC content, it’s important that the results confirm it.
I personally feel like all three of these tinctures can be incorporated into a single day, and that almost seems to be the intention. For example, one can use the Restore tincture in the morning, Relief in the afternoon, and Relax at bedtime.
The whole experience was very enjoyable. From the fruity taste to the noticeable pain relief and pleasant high, I was impressed. These tinctures are top-notch and should serve as the gold standard of cannabis relief.

Wonderful except that SOON HOPEFULLY these will be ON DEMAND = make your own formula like make your own coffee, make your own salad bar, make your own sandwich and then the formula producers will lose out; in addition, there is a MEANINGFUL POPULATION of We the Patients who DO NOT WANT the alcohol from the tinctures and we DISLIKE the alcohol FORCING THE MEDICINE INTO OUR CELLS = NO Thank you 🙁
But, polyculture ON DEMAND without alcohol is probably the future 🙂
