Using Crystals for the Optimal Cannabis Experience

Similar to cannabis, for centuries healing and mystical practices used crystals. These beautiful wonders of nature are both growing in the ground and come in a variety of forms and colors.

When used in conjunction with each other, crystals and cannabis have the potential to amplify each other’s healing and metaphysical properties. Whether you decide to keep crystals with the jar you store your stash in, or use them to set intentions for a smoke session; pairing cannabis strains and crystals that have similar properties might enhance one’s healing experience.

Amethyst

This purple stone said to promote serenity and calmness is used to reduce anxiety and pain perceptions, according to Healthline. However, scientists have not proven any of these claims.

Among metaphysical properties, amethyst reportedly opens a person’s third eye chakra, or the energy center located in the forehead, which is a source of power and wisdom. Crystal practitioners believe amethysts can enhance spiritual visions and enlightenment.

When it comes to pain and anxiety reduction, strains that are CBD-dominant are most effective. Therefore if using an amethyst crystal with cannabis, strains with higher CBD are likely ideal.

For instance, ACDC is a 14% CBD strain that can help relieve stress, anxiety, and pain without feeling stoned. This is optimal for giving users a calm and centered headspace without that strong cannabis high, according to Leafly.

Another 14 percent CBD strain that produces little to no psychoactive effects is Remedy. Without the intense body and mental effects of high THC this strain can calm anxiety with a more peaceful mindset. As Leafly reports, Remedy produces lightness in the mind as the burden of worry lifts.

Carnelian

Called the Artist’s Stone, carnelian is known to boost creativity when used. Carnelian is also said to increase libido, boosting fertility and comfort in one’s sexual identity.

This energy-boosting stone is known to stimulate tissues, muscles, and organs, the muscles. According to the crystal seller, Tiny Rituals, carnelian helps oxygen find its free flow and keeps your tissues and organs flushed with the finest health.

Since carnelian is a high-energy stone, pairing the crystal with sativa strains high in THC could help enhance the stone’s stimulating properties.

If you’re looking for an energy boost, Sour Diesel is a sativa strain containing 17-to-26 percent THC. This crossover of Chemdawg and Super Skunk has fast-acting effects that are dreamy, cerebral, and energizing, according to Leafly.

In order to enhance Carnelian’s creativity-inducing effects, Durban Poison is a good choice. This sativa strain originating from the port city,  Durban, South Africa, has energetic, uplifting effects. The THC-dominant strain can lend a spark of creativity.

For a libido increase, Big Smooth is an ideal strain. This cross between OG Blueberry and Cookies and Cream is euphoric and blissful, reducing stress and inhibitions as reported by Leafly.

Citrine

A stone of abundance and manifestation, Citrine is said to attract wealth, prosperity, and success. Citrine is a stone of joy that inspires creativity and self-expression.

An excellent crystal for overcoming depression, citrine helps release anger and negative feelings, deep-seated fears, and destructive tendencies. Citrine enhances physical stamina and energy, supports the endocrine system, and encourages proper metabolism according to a seller, Crystal Vaults.

Another energetic stone, sativa and THC-dominant strains are ideal to pair with citrine.

One sativa hybrid strain, Serious Happiness can help produce joyful effects. Serous Happiness is a cross of Warlock and AK-47 and has a THC content of around 18% and CBD content of 1%.

This fast-acting strain, as reported by Way of Leaf, Serious Happiness’ high gave some users the greatest feelings of joy they’ve ever had. The high provides a surprising level of euphoria that could also result in a creativity and productivity boost.

Another creativity and joy-inducing strain ideal to pair with citrine is Jack Herer.

Named after the legendary cannabis activist, Jack Herer, consumers describe this 55% sativa hybrid as clear-headed, blissful, and creative. Offering an uplifting, almost euphoric high. It stimulates the senses for a joyous, focused psychedelic-like mental buzz that encourages creativity and philosophical thinking according to Way of Leaf.

Lapis Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli is a gold and dark blue stone claim to encourage self-awareness and expression. Specifically, it encourages one to speak their truth, making it a tool for bonding relationships with those who can serve the true you, according to Tiny Rituals.

Lapis Lazuli also unblocks throat and thyroid problems. The stone is also claimed to help with depression, insomnia, and vertigo. Overall, this stone works to flush the system, allowing users to physically thrive.

Due to lapis lazuli’s association with fighting depression and insomnia, strains with indica are ideal to maximize the stone’s effects. Northern Lights is a heavy-indica strain that has a profound ability to numb the mind and body, bringing about complete relaxation, and eventually sedation. Northern Light allows its users to sleep soundly, making it ideal for those who struggle with insomnia, according to Way of Leaf.

Another strain, Cannatonic has a 1:1 CBD to THC ratio that can help alleviate the debilitating symptoms of depression. In addition, the strain can help numb chronic pain, stimulate appetite, and uplift the spirit, while also relaxing muscles and body tension. By relieving tension this strain helps make falling asleep easier, as also reported by Way of Leaf.

By using crystals and cannabis in combination with each other, users can potentially get an optimal high with spiritual healing effects.
