We Want This Food: George Dolese’s Green Garlic Pizza

Summer is entering its final countdown, and things are getting riper and riper—cannabis plants included. ‘Tis the season for picking fresh food straight from your garden, or patio, and making kitchen magic.

Making kitchen magic in front of camera lenses is the purview of food stylists, and were loving George Dolese’s account. With gorgeous Mediterranean-inspired dishes featured by companies like Williams Sonoma and the recent book The Vibrant Life, his work is a must-scroll alert.

We love summery foods that combine easy to duplicate techniques, like taking frozen, store bought, or bread machine made pizza dough and turning it into a pizza of prime freshness. Displaying what’s in season and in monochrome no less is one of the best talents of a food devotee—whether a stylist, chef, or both.

This tastily topped pizza was showered in ribbons of zucchini with green peas, garlic greens, cheese and chili. All it needs to get The Emerald seal of approval is some julienned hemp leaves. Weed or no weed, this green machine pizza is a fine choice for an evening meal. Or, crack an egg on top for some brunch-worthy, Instagram-able appeal.

Following food influencers and stylists is the smartest way to get new cooking tips— they’re really the one setting the trends. Its where restaurants, chefs, and food shows all get their inspo, why not the cannabis community too?
