Add a freshness to life and relieve some pain with Monarch’s topical aerosols.
Monarch Life Sciences, or Monarch Meds, is a Colorado-based company that works to distribute remedy-based, hemp-derived aerosol products to anyone looking for premium CBD and other cannabinoid support items. Their mission is to deliver the safest and most effective hemp-derived aerosols and water-soluble products on the market, which they describe as the aerosol advantage.
The company offers many different CBD products ranging from aerosol inhalers and sublinguals to beverage infusers and Pet Health Drops. I was lucky enough to test out their line of topical aerosols.
Monarch has three different topical sprays, I tried two of them: the Nano Mist Topical Aerosol — CBD and CBG RELIEF Body Spray, and the Nano Mist Topical Aerosol: REFRESH Lavender and Jasmine Facial Spray.
RELIEF Aerosol
The RELIEF body spray is made with eucalyptus, camphor, menthol, tea tree oil, and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) along with other herbs and botanical ingredients specifically formulated to provide cooling relief to sore muscles and joints.
It holds 60 ml of liquid and weighs just 2.03 ounces. Additionally, it has 2,500 mg of full-spectrum Purzorb CBD and 500 mg of CBG. These topical aerosols can get about 60-70 uses each.
According to Pureseven.com, “Purzorb is the technology for taking an oil based ingredient and making it bio absorbable or “bioavailable” to the body without changing its form and structure,” the site adds. “Purzorb accomplishes this process in the same way the body does it by mimicking the body’s way to make oil based ingredients bioavailable.”
The Practical Pain Management journal writes that CBD is a known anti-inflammatory, which can help reduce joint and muscle pain.
CBG is another cannabinoid that Very Well Mind refers to as the mother of all cannabinoids. This is because other cannabinoids are derived from the acidic form of CBG. Very Well Mind also writes that CBG can reduce inflammation, which can help ease pain.
Did it Work?
After a long day of moving, myself and all my roommates were in a lot of pain. So we tested this topical. We were met with a strong but pleasant minty smell deriving from the menthol.
We sprayed a small amount on different parts of our bodies where we felt pain, mostly in our muscles. Nearly immediately one of the roommates exclaimed, “Woah. That’s a new feeling that I’ve never felt before.”
And indeed it was. All of us felt noticeable muscle pain relief, both large and small. The relief was near instant. They used it on their knees, which used to hurt every time they bent them. But, after using the spray, they could bend their knees with little to no pain.
It felt wet on the skin at first, but it dried quickly. The menthol made it very cool. I would be careful about spraying too much in a concentrated area because it may sting a bit. I found it best to spray a light amount on first, and if more is needed, let that amount dry before spraying another round.
This was by far my favorite product; I felt like it had the best results.
REFRESH Aerosol
The REFRESH facial spray is another topical aerosol. But this one can be used on the face, or a pillowcase, or anywhere that one may need a little refresh. It’s scented lavender with passion flower and jasmine.
This one also dries quickly and is non-oily. The company designed this spray to give the skin a healthy glow via different rejuvenating, beneficial botanicals and nutrients.
There are many ingredients in the formula like aloe, green tea, chamomile, hyaluronic acid and more, all which users know to have skin refreshing and relieving properties.
For instance, Baylor College of Medicine writes that Aloe can help moisturize, exfoliate the skin, and even help reduce wrinkles.
Additionally, green tea, according to WebMD, can reduce skin inflammation and has anticancer properties.
Camomile may also ease redness, according to BYRIDE, as well as reducing blemishes, signs of aging while also soothing the skin.
Did it Work?
I used this product often as a sort of setting spray after putting on makeup. It’s not necessarily designed to be a setting spray, but I liked how my skin felt after putting it on. It was just the right amount of refreshing.
I also used this throughout the day when my face felt dry. I felt like this gave me a great glow, like that “I just worked out” glisten without actually having to work out.
The smell is extremely pleasant, with mostly the notes of lavender with an undertone of passion flower. I’d sometimes give my whole body a spritz just because I liked the scent.
There are certain properties of this spray that are just relaxing as well. I sometimes sprayed it on my pillow right before bed; it was just so soothing that it helped send me off to dreamland.
I really enjoyed these two topical aerosols. I’ve never used products like them before. There’s a part of me that often does not expect aerosoles to do anything, or to be anything besides scented air. That was certainly not the case with these products.
While I enjoyed both, I was the most impressed with the RELIEF spray. It was fast acting and actually provided a good amount of pain relief. It didn’t take all discomfort away, but it was a noticeable difference and one that could probably improve many people’s quality of life. I would definitely recommend giving these products a try.
