Packed with CBD and fresh fruity flavor, these Shade Full Spectrum CBD Gummies are NOT for children. Though they look like sugar-coated candies, these gummies pack a punch. Each gummy is a calming treat with nearly 30 mg of CBD and natural, vegan ingredients. The devastatingly cute bottles reflect a mixture of orange, strawberry and lemon-flavored gummy goodness. At 30 gummies per bottle, Shade promises a full-spectrum hemp experience guaranteed to enhance creativity for only $35.

Though Shade CBD gummies come in three flavors, we tried the lemon and the orange. While we preferred the orange, both flavors had a sweet balance with a tiny taste of hemp. The crystallized sugar kept the gummy from being too sticky — it was almost too easy to imagine scarfing down an entire bottle. However, Shade recommends consuming no more than two gummies a day, preferably with meals.

Though some recommend using CBD as a sleep aid, we didn’t experience any drowsiness after consuming one gummy. However, nervous tension melted away almost completely, leaving the body more relaxed and the mind more peaceful. We didn’t experience any adverse effects and were still able to focus on getting work done before enjoying a restful night’s sleep.

Some might be fooled by the rich colors and sweet taste. But these gummies are actually filled with natural ingredients. The colors are produced by beetroot, blueberries, carrots and chlorella, a type of algae. The hemp used in the gummies is 100% organically grown and free from GMOs, pesticides, and harsh chemicals. The Shade facility is certified and registered with the FDA, though this doesn’t mean the products are FDA-approved.

All products are tested by an independent third party lab, though testing information is not currently present on the Shade website. Emerald was sent a card with the exact breakdown of the gummy ingredients, but we wish the testing info was more accessible and verifiable.

What Does Full-Spectrum Mean?

29.11 mg CBD, 0.31 mg THC, 0.16 mg CBG, 0.10 mg CBDV per gummy

While many people are aware of the benefits of CBD, not many know of the comprehensive benefits of using all parts of the hemp plant. Shade explains that their full-spectrum gummies include legal (.03 and under), trace amounts of THC, which works to help the CBD absorb more efficiently. Don’t worry — these gummies won’t get you high.

CBG (cannabigerol) and CBDV (cannabidivarin), other compounds found in cannabis, have been found to reduce symptoms of painful diseases. Found in various concentrations in the hemp plant, these compounds hold undiscovered potential for treating seizures, nausea, pain, and more. The information card Emerald was sent states that each Shade gummy contains 0.16 mg of CBG and 0.10 mg of CBDV.

Advertised at 25 mg of CBD per gummy, these Shade gummies actually ring in a bit closer to 30 mg. According to Leafreport, CBD products should aim to fall within 10% of the advertised CBD content. At around 16% more CBD than advertised, Shade Full Spectrum CBD Gummies would receive a B grade from Leafreport.

We felt this was important to include for dosing purposes. Emerald advises users to become familiar with reading FDA labels and understanding dosing information.

By Creatives, for Creatives

Besides the amazing taste and relaxing effects, one of the most fascinating aspects of Shade Full Spectrum CBD Gummies is the story of the brand’s creation. Shade’s website details how two families of creatives came together to “develop a perfectly balanced cannabis experience that enhances creativity and keeps productive energy flowing.”

Using only the best ingredients, Shade strives to provide a cannabis experience that helps others discover and develop their potential.

While we didn’t create any new masterpieces after trying Shade CBD gummies, we did enjoy a sweet and relaxing cannabis experience. The addicting taste, calming relaxation, and ability to focus made us want to give the gummies a full five emeralds. We felt the price per bottle was incredibly reasonable for the amount of CBD present. Many well-known CBD gummy brands with similar CBD content charge at least $50 a bottle for 30 gummies, so Shade is definitely an affordable alternative. However, the slightly inaccurate CBD measurement in each gummy and lack of accessible testing information knock off an emerald.

4/5 emeralds
