Día de los Muertos is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, on both sides of the Mexican border. It is a day to honor those who have passed. It is believed that on these two days, the souls of deceased family members return to earth to celebrate with the living. They are honored with alters, marigolds, photographs, favorite foods…and sometimes cannabis.
In celebration of the holiday, Emerald has rounded up six different Dia de los Muertos-inspired cannabis products that will further blur the lines of life and death.

Platinum Vape’s Pinã de los Muertos special edition gummies are a testament to the Latino community and their diverse work environment.
“The designer who created this packaging is Latinx and celebrates Día de los Muertos with his family,” Platinum Vape wrote on Instagram. “Our employees are over 50-percent Latinx, including upper management, and we shared the concept for this product with unanimous approval before moving forward with production.”
In a recent interview with the High Times, George Sadler, the president of Platinum Vape, stated that the Pinã de los Muertos gummies are “a respectful nod to our diversity and rich heritage” of the company’s home state of California, “a diverse state with a history of Spanish, Indigenous, and Mexican influences in all aspects of life.”
The gummies combine the flavors of sweet tropical fruits, not forgetting to add a hint of that Mexican spice. The indica-based treat will have consumers seeing ghosts, taking them on a trip through memory lane as they celebrate the beautiful cycle of life and death.
Pinã de los Muertos is a limited-edition item and that customers can find throughout October and November in dispensaries in California, Oklahoma and Michigan.

Many know Día de los Muertos for its vibrant colors. Shades of red, yellow, blue, pink, and green, light up the streets of Mexico during the two-day holiday. Mota Glass, inspired by this Latino tradition, designed their Sugar Skull Beaker Bong in celebration.
Handcrafted from durable 9mm borosilicate glass, the 18-inch beaker is adorned with the company’s “Mota” logo/slab and includes colorful calaveritas, or sugar skulls. The beaker is also decorated with marigolds and roses. During the Día de los Muertos marigolds are placed near altars as they supposedly attract souls back to the land of the living.
“[The design] is inspired by the beauty of Mexican culture and the passion cannabis users have for the plant and its community. […] This piece celebrates both heritage and love for cannabis,” the company stated.
“I seriously cannot get enough of this glass piece,” said A. Moreno, a Mota Glass customer, on the company’s website. “The function is out of this world. It is beautiful, thick and in charge. If you are still wondering if you should buy this glass, this is your sign. Do it!”
The company is currently offering a $30 discount on this beaker bong when customers use the code SPOOKY during the month of October.

The mats are a mix of their original grizzly bear design, which taker inspiration from the traditional Mexican calaveritas. The calaveritas include bright colors and represent a human skull during Día de los Muertos.
The release is a Latino twist to their already popular collection of mood mats. Bear Quartz’s limited-edition grey and green mood mats are so popular that both sets of mood mats have been sold out from the website. However, the company’s red mood mats, in addition to others, are still available.

Bibichanto is a Redbubble artist who has been designing stickers, t-shirts and posters on the site since 2018. With over 360 designs sold on the site, the “Weed Queen” is among her most popular designs.
The Weed Queen draws inspiration from the many outfits women wear during Día de los Muertos. The queen’s white makeup takes inspiration from the calaveritas. Additionally, the red flowers that appear on the design represent the many flowers that many place in altars during the festival. La Catrina, another famous Dia de los Muertos icon, also inspires the design.
The Weed Queen is available on the Redbubble website and comes in many different forms. Stickers are perfect to add a spice of color to a laptop, water bottle, or bathroom mirror. T-shirts are slim fitting and are a great look for a laid back Sunday afternoon. Weed Queen also comes as an IPhone soft case, and a poster to hang up on any plain-looking wall.
