Norman, Oklahoma is home to the University of Oklahoma (OU) and nearly 30 cannabis dispensaries. As a college town, this equates to about 10.5 dispensaries per 50,000 residents, according to a report done by Verilife.

Oklahoma’s medical cannabis legalization passed in the summer of 2018. Since then, businesses and dispensaries have started to pop up everywhere, according to Verilife’s report. With a number of dispensaries located close to OU’s campus, college students have a variety of locations to visit.

Herbal House dispensary in Norman is located a bit further from the college campus. For example, it is off of the main road that runs through the city. But for those interested in quality products nestled away from the college hustle and bustle, Herbal House is the place.

Interior Aesthetic

As you walk in, there’s an electronic door that leads visitors to a counter where they present their medical cannabis card before an employee buzzes them in. This door compliments much of the indoor aesthetic. It’s got a rustic wooden design, reminiscent of a lake cabin.

Consumers walk directly into a living room with large leather couches and a chess board adorning the coffee table in the center. Along the walls are a couple display areas where customers can browse different types of dab rigs and vape devices. The display cases are reminiscent of apothecary, and add to the rustic elements of the store.

The majority of Herbal House’s products are located in the back room where glass cases line the walls for easy viewing. The lighting is adjusted for customers to see products clearly through the cases.

Herbal House specializes mainly in flower. The dispensary also carries a variety of products outside flower, including a variety of edibles and concentrates.

Background Information

Herbal House is not corporate, it is a mom and pop shop. This location opened two years ago and has been building up its clientele since.

The dispensary functions as a cannabis boutique in Norman and works closely with local brands such as Heartland Farms, Sunday Extracts, and Noble Nectar. This location is currently renovating their greenhouse.

On Saturday, July 31st, Herbal House celebrated their two-year anniversary. Their celebration included local artists and DJs and a block party for anyone to join. Herbal House also strives to include a local event per month, promoting a $25 physician recommendation referral for those interested in their medical cannabis card.

The company also contributes to local food drives as part of working with equitable causes.

The dispensary presented quality interior aesthetic and customer service. Additionally, there are a number of bud tenders available for questions about products.

While not the largest selection in Norman, Herbal House contains a flower selection for a variety of cannabis consumer. With a number of other products as well, Herbal House is a quality cannabis dispensary for all individuals in Norman, Oklahoma.
