E-Nails, Concentrates and THC Sodas: Emerald’s 710 Day Product Guide

710 day, Pax Labs vape

Everyone is familiar with 420, the famed stoner holiday where cannabis consumers around the globe come together every April 20th to dedicate an entire day to appreciating their favorite therapeutic plant.

But there’s another, lesser-known, cannabis holiday right around the corner — 710.

Celebrated on July 10th, 710 is the 420 equivalent for lovers of concentrates like hash oil, shatter, wax and anything else that falls under the purview of “dabbing.”

The name stems from calculator culture — type 710 into a calculator, rotate it upside down and it displays “OIL.” It’s the same principle used by kids in middle school who type 5318008 into a calculator, flip it, and proceed to disrupt the whole class with raucous laughter.

While the origins of 420 are much more clear cut, the exact details surrounding the creation of 710 are a bit hazy. Some credit the term to rapper and cannabis activist TaskRok. Others say the term first appeared as an Urban Dictionary entry back in 2010, with people first associating it with cannabis in 2011.

Regardless of the history, the premise is simple — at 7:10 a.m. and/or p.m. on July 10th, observers of the holiday fire up their rigs, pens, cartridges or whatever else they have and rip a fat dab.

A holiday that used to be rather high maintenance (pun fully intended), with the introduction of e-nails, infrared thermometers and cartridges, 710 is easier to celebrate than ever.

Check out some of Emerald’s favorite 710-friendly products to help celebrate the holiday.

For the consumer who wants to get their feet wet in the dabbing game, but doesn’t want to drop hundreds of dollars on a set up — MJ Arsenal has an answer. Finding the perfect dab setup is immensely easy with their Build-Your-Own Dab Rig Bundle Pack.

Building one’s own set up can be a daunting task for even the most seasoned dabbers. But MJ Arsenal walks consumers through the process.

Choose from 10 different mini dab rigs, five different quartz buckets and two carb caps. The bundle also includes a mini dab rig tool and a padded zipper pouch.

For $65, it’s tough to find a better starter kit than this.

For all the advanced dabbers out there looking to level up their rig for the holiday, or anyone who prefers dabbing without fire, ISpire has just the product — The Wand.

ISpire boasts The Wand as the first ever e-nail to use induction heating. It gives users the ability to precisely select their preferred temperature, ensuring a consistent dabbing experience every time.

The kit has The Wand, and everything else needed to operate it. That includes two bangers, a carb cap, a charging cable and a user manual.

While a bit more expensive than other options, coming in at $169, one can’t put a price on innovation, especially on a holiday.

A personal favorite, the Octave Terp Timer will completely change the way people dab.

Say goodbye to accidentally scorching the throat on a hot dab, or wasting wax on a nail that’s cooled down too much. With the Terp Timer each dab will hit with precision.

A desktop wireless thermal sensor that allows users to dial in the exact temperature desired, the Terp Timer beeps when the nail is ready for use. And with a battery that lasts two to three months per charge, consumers will get a lot of use out of it.

Whether looking for a hot nail sure to set a coughing fit in motion, or a low temperature nail, because like Wiz says “it’s all about the taste,” for $150 Octave’s Terp Timer will transform any 710 sesh.

Every experienced dabber knows just how hard it can be to keep track of all the necessary equipment. Pucks disappear under beds or couches. Dab tools stick and hide in the carpet. Frankly, at times it can all make dabbing seem futile.

But — with the Elite Station 710 Organizer from Chill HQ — the days of losing dabbing gear may be a thing of the past.

Complete with two silicone carb cab holders, two tool holders, two 5 ml silicone containers and a 5-inch by 4-inch non-stick silicone mat perfect for loading up a fat dab; the Elite Station will help consumers stay organized one, two or ten dabs in.

To sweeten the deal, the station is available in 13 colorways and is on sale now for $37.49.

At this point PAX has become a household name in the vaping industry, and for good reason. As their signature, discreet and easy-to-use vaporizer is reinvented with each new model, the PAX team never fails to disappoint.

The great thing about the PAX 3 — aside it’s industry-leading heat up time and impressively long lasting battery life — is that it is compatible with both dry herb and concentrates. This means consumers can use a PAX 3 to celebrate both 710 and 420. And with a 10-year warranty, the PAX 3 is really more than just a tool — it’s a lifestyle.

To make the deal even sweeter, Pax is offering a 20% discount for 710.

ABX has a self-proclaimed “serious love for live music,” marketing these cartridges as a great addition for any show — or in this case, any 710 celebration.

They come in five strain-specific flavors which can be paired with whatever the vibe may be: Forbidden Fruit, Lemon Cake, Blue City Diesel, Gorilla Snacks and SFV OG.

The Loud and Clear cartridges are available at retailers across California, and are now available for delivery in select locations.

Also, be on the lookout for special 710 deals at select locations such as buy-one-get-one for $1 deals on an ABX 510-thread cartridge or Live concentrates and DART pens.

Offering over 20 different caviar diamonds, badders, and crumbles, Summit Boys has all the cannabis concentrates one could want and more.

Available at 10 different retailers in Southern California, Summit Boys is more up-and-coming than established. But like the name indicates — they’re on their way to the top.

Oh and grab a Summit Boys 710 shirt too.

Keef’s Classic Sodas — Colorado/California

$4-$5

Smoking and inhaling will leave even the most tried and tested consumers parched. What can someone do when they want to continue to medicate but their body just isn’t up to task?

Good thing the people over at Keef thought ahead and created the original line of Keef Classic Sodas. Available in five flavors — Root Beer, Orange Kush, Original Cola, Blue Razz and Purple Passion — each can of recreational Keef Classics contains 10 mg of THC. Nothing says 710 more than washing down a juicy dab with one of Keef’s Classic Sodas.

ABX’s Sleepy Time Gummies

$14

After a long day of dabbing, celebrating and dabbing some more, some consumers may find themselves wired and unable to sleep. ABX thought about this and came up with a wonderful line of Sleepy Time products that include gels, drops and cartridges. However, the premiere Sleepy Time product, and the best tasting, is their Blueberry Lavender gummies. Carefully formulated, the gummies contain a proprietary blend of calming terpenes, THC, CBN and lavender, sure to put a blissful cap on even the most lively of 710s.

Dimo Hemp’s Delta-8 Pre-rolls and MOONWLKR’s Edible Bundle — Editor’s Pick

Don’t forget about delta-8-THC this holiday, either — particularly, those who want to avoid delta-9-THC. Because companies derive it from hemp or CBD, it is legal and available in most states. Like CBD and traditional delta-9-THC, delta-8-THC comes in many forms, from edibles, to concentrates, to pre-rolls.

For example, Dimo Hemp offers pre-rolls infused with delta-8-THC oil and rolled in CBD kief. And for those with a sweet tooth, MOONWLKR is currently offering discounts on its Edibles Bundles, including four bottles of their sugar-coated gummies. Additionally, both are offering free delivery on $49-$50+ purchases.
