Crafting the perfect routine for your skin may seem like a lifelong challenge to those new to the game. Even as a beauty fanatic I understand the challenge of product trial and error. The endless cycle of testing out new ingredients for your skin can lead you further away from what your skin truly needs to thrive.
Finding the right ingredients that work for your skin is hard enough on its own. But nailing down a routine, and knowing which ingredients to use at the right time and in the right order to reap the full benefits, is even harder.
Why High Beauty?
High Beauty has hit the nail on the head with their expert formulation of cannabinoids, bioflavonoids and terpenes derived from cannabis sativa seed oil, red grape, cranberry, pomegranate, black Cumin, broccoli, bergamot, petitgrain and Melissa officinalis. The ingredients are formulated to work as a team to deliver benefits to the skin. This formulation is referred to as High’s “special sauce,” which is incorporated throughout the entire product line.
Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil
High Beauty chooses to formulate their products with the use of sativa seed (hemp) oil because of its wonderful benefits. Sativa seed oil is packed full of vitamins, nutrients and healthy fats. All amazing for improving skin quality.
According to High Beauty, sativa seed oil is a powerful anti-inflammatory, it won’t clog your pores, it can control oil production which works to regulate oily skin, promotes youthful-looking skin, it is high in antioxidants which helps minimize acne breakouts and protect from elemental factors, and it can restore skin tone and minimize noticeable skin texture.
Over the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure of testing out a total of five High Skincare products used as a complete system. This is what I noticed from the continuous use of each product:
High Priority Cannabis Cleansing Foam
I hate to admit it, but a foaming cleanser would typically not be my first choice. Although, with High’s foaming cleanser I noticed that after I wash my face, it still has life to it, unlike other foaming cleansers that typically dry out my skin.
When washing my face, I found that High’s cleanser works up a creamy rich lather that helps to nourish and hydrate my skin, leaving it soft and glowing, rather than stripping the oils in my skin and leaving my face feeling dry and tight. The cleanser has a light earthy scent, nothing too overbearing. It is a fresh way to start your morning routine or cleanse away unwanted makeup or dirt at the end of your day.
The positive effects the cleanser has had on my skin in the past few weeks has made me rethink my stance on foaming cleansers.

High Expectations Cannabis Facial Oil
As someone who struggles with acne breakouts, I’m hesitant about putting oils on my face. This is not an uncommon feeling for those who suffer from breakouts or oily skin. But sometimes acne or excess oil production can be caused by dehydrated skin.
I am used to small bump like acne breakouts on my forehead and bigger acne breakouts nearing my menstrual cycle. However, after continual use of High’s Facial Oil, I notice I am sporting a clearer complexion.
I found when applying the oil, a little goes a long way. You only need a couple of drops for your entire face and decolletage. The oil smells really nice and citrusy and absorbs quickly. The glass dropper makes for a sleek quality, mess-free packaging.
My skin is overall smoother and carries a natural-looking glow.

High Five Cannabis Facial Moisturizer
The moisturizer applied like silk. It went on super smooth — it was not too light or too heavy. I especially love how the moisturizer smooths down into a fine layer on the skin. It helps give me an overall healthier, smoother-looking complexion and evens out the redness on my face.
This moisturizer is great at the end of the routine to lock in hydration and add a protective barrier. But I also found that it creates a perfect base for makeup application.
Using the High Five Cannabis Facial Moisturizer before makeup helps to melt the makeup into the skin, resulting in foundations and powders appearing unified, rather than blotchy or uneven.

High Eye-Q Cannabis Eye Gel
I love using the eye gel as the ultimate wake-up treat. The cooling effect really helps alert my senses in the morning and leaves my under eyes feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Not only is it great for a pick-me-up in the a.m., but it is also great for overnight replenishment.
The skin around my eyes appears a lot more hydrated, which helps smooth fine lines. The extra hydration and smoothing around the eye also makes applying eyeshadow a lot easier.

High Maintenance Cannabis Peeling Mask
When I first used the peeling mask, I was amazed at the amount of dead skin that disintegrated off of my face. If you are going to try out anything in the collection, I would highly recommend this peel.
Because the peel helps with removing dead skin cells, it is best if it is only used two-to-three times a week. The cannabis peeling mask has changed the overall appearance and texture of my skin for the better, in only a short amount of time.
Removing dead skin cells from your face is key for glowing healthy skin. But sometimes chemical peels can be harsh or irritating for those with sensitive skin. I haven’t experienced any burning or discomfort with this peel.
I am part of the unlucky percentage that struggle with cold sores. Most peeling masks that I have used in the past have triggered an outbreak for me. However, with the High Maintenance Peeling Mask, this is not the case. Making it safe for those who deal with HSV-1 outbreaks.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I am impressed with the difference I see in my skin. In only a short amount of time, my skin has changed for the better. I notice a smoother, even-toned complexion with fewer acne breakouts and an overall healthier-looking glow.
Because of the improvements in my skin, I feel a lot more confident and beautiful in my own skin and even have stopped wearing as much foundation and concealer as I normally did.
I believe that High Skincare is suitable for any skin type, but is best for those who struggle with acne, dullness or ageing skin. I would also recommend High as a system to help manage dehydrated skin, especially during these drying winter months.
If you want to test High to see if it is right for your skin I would recommend their Try High Kit. The kit comes with samples to last you 5 days, so you can experience the benefits for yourself. You can even book a 30-minute virtual skincare consultation on their website!
It is evident that High Beauty values the importance of healthy skincare and nutrient-dense ingredients, to help you love the best version of the skin you are in.
