Who is Mary Palmer?

Mary Palmer is a woman and veteran-owned CBD company located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Behind the scenes of Mary Palmer are two owners, Steven “Dj Stenny” Stentiford and Lynne Spinney, whose creations have claimed numerous awards at competitions like The High Times Cannabis Cup, The Harvest Cup, Terptown Throwdown, NECANN Competition, The Pheno Cup and The Commonwealth Cup.

The owners also actively participate in their community to provide sustainable pathways into the cannabis industry for individuals most impacted by the War on Drugs through Massachusetts’ Social Equity Program.

“Our company is definitely all about incorporating minorities or people who wouldn’t typically have the opportunity,” they explain. “So, we like to make sure that everyone that works with us also kind of fits that criteria. Especially as being social equity applicants, we really like to keep that as a core value.”

Stentiford and Spinney hope to utilize their social equity applicant positions to expand, and develop THC-rich products in addition to their popular CBD products.

Luckily for me, I was able to try some of Mary Palmer’s award-winning products, including their CBD-infused dog treats, gum, topicals, and tincture.

Best Bud Dog Treats

Although Stentiford and Spinney have been involved in the cannabis and CBD scene even before starting Mary Palmer, their dog was the one that sparked the company’s creation because of hip issues.

In fact, research shows that CBD may help both humans and animals in various ways. Specifically for dogs, there’s evidence that CBD has anti-nausea and anti-anxiety properties; it can help treat symptoms of arthritis; and can promote a shiny coat; and improve appetite and joint health, according to Fitbark.

Mary Palmer’s bacon-flavored Best Bud CBD Dog Treats are a great source of CBD for dogs. Each bag comes with 30 treats, each with 5 mg of CBD. The treats also include the superfoods blueberries and cranberries, which are rich in antioxidants and vitamins, according to Mary Palmer’s product description.

My family dog is a 150-pound pitbull-bulldog. Even though he is huge and could scare anything, he has persistent anxiety. We have tried different things to calm him down, but the Best Bud Dog Treats noticeably helped lower his stress levels, especially when people were over. We could tell that he was much more approachable because he was relaxed. He even had a shinier coat within a couple of days. I enjoyed it since I was able to see improvement with him and he especially enjoyed the treats as he kept begging me for more.

CBD Peppermint Gum

The CBD Peppermint Gum was one of my favorite CBD products I have ever tried. I used it before a golf tournament to calm some of my nerves, and also daily when I knew I was going to be around a lot of people so I could curb some of my social anxiety.

The CBD-infused gum gave me a fresh blast of peppermint and noticeably settled the butterflies in my stomach. Let alone the calming and relaxing effects I had from the CBD, it was truthfully the best gum I ever had. I could keep it in for hours because it was so juicy and flavorful, unlike the gum I usually have where I have to throw it out in an hour or less. I’m not alone in this choice as one of my favorite edibles as consumers have voted it first place CBD edible in competitions like NECANN and The Harvest Cup.

CBD Rose Products

Another first place product I got to try was their CBD Rose Lotion. It is a moisturizer that contains hyaluronic acid, 100% organic rose extract, and 250 mg of full-spectrum CBD. The combination of ingredients may help reduce redness, balance our skin’s PH, fight acne and heal scarring.

I don’t mean to sound dramatic, but this will be the moisturizer I probably use for the rest of my life. Because of maskne and just regular stress, I have seen acne and dry skin become much more of a problem than before. This moisturizer seemed to clear my skin right up and it kept my face feeling soft all day. When I paired the moisturizer with the CBD Rose Water on top of makeup, the combination kept my face feeling hydrated and my makeup looking perfect throughout the night.

Hazelnut Coffee Sweetener Tincture

I am not a coffee drinker myself, so I enlisted one of my caffeine-loving friends to try out Mary Palmer’s Coffee Sweetener. It has 250 mg of CBD and 250 mg of THC with a hazelnut flavor.

As an experienced user, my friend put a full dropper and a half in a cup of coffee to feel the effects of the CBD and THC. The best part for him was that he got to experience the boost of coffee in the morning without the jittery and anxious side effects. There was also no taste of cannabis, but just a tasty and smooth hint of hazelnut to make his cup of joe even more enjoyable.

He says, “10/10 would recommend this product. I got my whole family to try it and now it is a staple of our coffee set up in the kitchen.”

Mary Palmer is a leader in the CBD industry and soon to be in the cannabis industry. Not only were each of these products impressive, and did what they claimed, but supporting the company also means supporting social equity applicants and those most impacted by the War on Drugs. Mary Palmer Rosè Lotion is an easy way to introduce older family members and friends to try CBD products, given the historically negative press cannabis has received. Aches and pains can be minimized with a pleasant smelling lotion that doesn’t hint of sports or pain creams. It doesn’t take much to realize the floral aroma doesn’t minimize the relief one can feel in as little as 15-30 minutes, after a slight warming of the area and what feels like the tingling of blood flowing through the small vessels and the skin. I highly recommend this product, regardless of intentional punning…..it really works.
