5 CBD Face Masks to add to Your Skincare Routine

February 6, 2021 by Rita Thompson Leave a Comment

CBD face mask

With the pandemic approaching it’s one year anniversary, the stresses of daily life may be taking a toll on your skin.

Luckily, cannabidiol (CBD) offers a natural option to soothe both your face and your mind.

Research shows that CBD is effective as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, which makes it a great ingredient for targeting acne, dryness, and more. It is also rich in fatty acids, which help nourish and calm the skin.

If you’re interested in incorporating CBD into your skincare routine, masks are a great, low-cost and low-risk place to start.

There are thousands of skincare products on the market. While you should always research your skin before trying a new product, here are four of the Emerald’s favorites — plus DIY CBD face mask recipes.

High Maintenance Cannabis Peeling Mask

You may recognize this face mask from the Emerald’s review of High Beauty products. High Beauty crafts this peeling mask with hemp seed oil to help remove dead skin cells, purify, resurface and smooth your skin. This mask is made with all-natural ingredients. As such, consumers can use it weekly without the burning or discomfort that often comes with harsh chemical peels. For a full review, click here.

CBD Blemish Masks

If you’re looking for a product for acne-prone skin, Mantra Mask’s CBD Blemish Mask is a great option. Made in combination with a variety of natural ingredients like tea tree oil, lavender, aloe, the anti-inflammatory effects of CBD will further help to reduce and refine your pores. Add this to your at-home spay day when your skin needs an extra boost of care. These come in packs of one, five, and 10.

Cannalogica’s Deep Cleanse Face Masque

Made with Amazonian white clay and full-spectrum hemp extract, Cannalogica’s Deep Cleanse Face Masque is made to detoxify your pores and redefine your skin’s texture. Clay masks can be slightly drying at times, so we would only recommend using it once a week. And be sure to follow up with your favorite moisturizer. For a full review, click here.

NZFD Beauty Infused Sheet Masked

This sheet mask from NZFD Beauty is infused with vitamins and botanicals to leave your skin revitalized and glowing. The company makes it with ingredients like rosemary leaf, neem seed oil and ginger root, which help further improve uneven skin tone and refine the appearance of pores, skin texture and fine lines. They come in sets of one or two, and each mask is infused with 50 mg of CBD.

DIY CBD Facemasks

Skin care can be expensive, we know. But, if you’re looking for a fun, DIY way to rejuvenate your skin, look no further. Emerald has already compiled a list of three face mask recipes just for you. Try making the Brightening Mask, the Acne fighting mask, or the soothing hydration mask. Chances are good that you already have the ingredients for all three.
