Charisse Harris exemplifies the importance of interpersonal relationships and the capacity for upward mobility in the cannabis industry when the burdensome hurdles of racial inequality are removed allowing people of color the opportunity to flourish.
Harris’ experience in a regulatory capacity made her uniquely suited to provide her employer, Lightshade, with invaluable insight over their quality control measures. In performing her quality control duties, she utilizes her extensive previous experience and the relationships she formed during the course of her career facilitating the needs of many. The generosity with which Harris freely dispenses her assistance led to an appointment to the advisory board of Leaf411. With the unwavering support of Lightshade, Harris has been afforded the opportunity to simultaneously focus on altruistic measures with a SEED (social equity education and development program) initiative poised for launch to improve the livelihood of her fellow people of color.
The unique angle of the SEED organization would be focused on demonstrating a path both to and within the cannabis industry done in a compliant, legal manner focused on engaging enterprising youths. Harris is an accomplished individual who serves as a shining example for her family as well as the community at large. Her career path has expanded because of the initiative which is seemingly innate to her.
Harris’ unique perspective is shared with Emerald in this engaging interview.
