A very Brooklyn kind of daydream has become real on Myrtle Ave in Bushwick. The Emerald Bakery & Cafe has officially opened at 1224 Myrtle Ave., directly across from The Emerald Dispensary. The two spaces function almost like extensions of each other—one focused on coffee and quick stops, the other on a curated cannabis selection.
Inside the cafe, it’s a mix of pastries, espresso drinks, drip coffee, easy grab-and-go staples, and a full kitchen menu coming soon. The Emerald Bakery & Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The best part? Customers who visit the cafe can also bring their receipt across the street to the dispensary for 10% off, making it easy to move between the two spaces as part of the same visit.
Below, we’ve paired some of our favorite cafe items with products from the dispensary to help connect what’s happening on opposite sides of the street.
Cold Brew + Zizzle Cereal Milk x Banana Mochi pre-roll
- At the cafe: Cold brew
- From the dispensary: Zizzle Cereal Milk x Banana Mochi pre-roll
The Zizzle-infused pre-roll delivers a dessert-style flavor profile. It moves between creamy cereal milk, vanilla, and soft banana pastry dough, with a full-melt infusion that makes it noticeably stronger and more layered than a standard joint.
Although the pre-roll offers a more playful and complex flavor profile, cold brews keep things stripped down and direct. While cold brew sometimes has a bitter edge, the pre-roll comes in like the sweet part of the order. Who doesn’t like a little dessert with their coffee?
Iced Latte + Cannabals Orange Soda Brick Gummies
- At the cafe: Iced latte
- From the dispensary: Cannabals Orange Soda Brick Gummies
The Orange Soda Brick gummies are bright and nostalgic. Think citrus-heavy, a little candy-sweet, with that orange-soda fizz energy that reads as instantly familiar. The effects sit in a social, daytime-friendly hybrid space: a light lift, some mental clarity, and a gentle body ease in the body. With an iced latte, the pairing stays in motion. The latte adds structure and a bit of focus, while the gummy softens the edges and stretches everything into a more relaxed, slightly more talkative, headspace.
Everything Bagel + LayUp 10 mg Iced Tea Lemonade
- At the cafe: Bagel with cream cheese
- From the dispensary: Layup Iced Tea Lemonade
For the caffeine abstainers, this is the easy default. The LayUp Iced Tea Lemonade is a simple blend (refreshing, slightly tart, and familiar) with 10 mg THC that comes on gradually and settles into a noticeable but manageable lift. With an everything bagel, it’s just a solid, no-fuss pairing.
Espresso + Grön 3:1 Milk Chocolate & Sea Salt Bar
- At the cafe: Iced latte
- From the dispensary: Grön Milk Chocolate & Sea Salt Bar
The Grön 3:1 milk chocolate bar is smooth and lightly salted, with a clean cocoa base cut just enough by sea salt to keep it from feeling too heavy or sweet. The effects are bright and functional. Paired with espresso, it stacks in a very direct way. The espresso brings the immediate kick, while the edible extends that upward energy into something more sustained. The combination is sharp and energizing. It’s less about balance, more about staying lifted for longer.
Matcha Latte + off-hours Strawberry Matcha Gummies
- At the cafe: Iced latte
- From the dispensary: off-hours Strawberry Matcha gummies
The Strawberry Matcha gummies lean into their name. Sweet strawberry on the front, followed by a green, slightly earthy matcha note underneath. The live rosin base gives the effect a bit more texture, landing in a space that feels light, creative, and gently energizing. Paired with a matcha latte, everything sits in the same lane but at different speeds. The matcha brings a slow, even caffeine lift that builds quietly, while the gummy adds a brighter, fruit-forward push that lifts mood and softens focus without scattering it.
Drip Coffee + Florist Farms Gelato Hybrid All-In-One Vape
- At the cafe: Drip coffee
- From the dispensary: Florist Farms Gelato Hybrid AIO Vape
Florist Farms’ Gelato vape is simple in a good way. It’s creamy, slightly sweet on the inhale, with powerful earthy cannabis notes. Paired with drip coffee, it stays very “baseline energy.” The coffee brings a familiar, grounded boost, while the vape layers in a softer, more rounded lift underneath it.
Croissant + Ayrloom Cranberry Apple Beverage
- At the cafe: Butter croissant
- From the dispensary: Ayrloom Cranberry Apple 2:1 THC:CBD Beverage
Can’t go wrong with a croissant. Paired with Ayrloom’s Cranberry Apple drink, it stays in a similar lane: familiar orchard fruit flavors, a mix of tart cranberry and crisp apple, with a gentle THC:CBD balance that sits on the softer side of effects. Together, it feels like a very easy morning add-on.
Across both spaces, there’s a natural back-and-forth that makes it easy to move between stops without much planning. With The Emerald Bakery & Cafe and The Emerald Dispensary sitting directly across from each other on Myrtle Avenue, the pairings basically build themselves into a simple loop.
