For those whose skin is all cracky, heal it with Crappy’s. This week I tried some skin products from Crappy’s Feel Better Hemp Co. The company sells a variety of CBD products, including chewable tablets, that focus on helping users feel better.
I tried three of the company’s topicals, which included two muscle and joint rubs and a salve for skin repair.
Crappy’s Feel Better Muscle Rub
The Muscle Marvel Natural Muscle and Joint Liniment is supposed to help with aches and pains and any joint or muscle soreness. This product has a variety of ingredients, yet remains mostly odorless, making it great for people with sensitive skin or people who are sensitive to smells. It does have a slight hemp smell, but it is barely noticeable.
All of its ingredients have a variety of uses when it comes to skincare. For instance cocoa seed butter, coconut oil, and shea butter are all found in a variety of skincare products. Most of these ingredients like caprylic triglyceride are also natural/organic. There are lab test results for every product available on the company’s website so you know what is in your product and can verify that it is safe.
The cream comes infused with 750 mg of CBD in a 1.5 ounce pump bottle. It comes out pretty thick, with about 15 mg of CBD per 1 ml pump. It is also available in a small 0.25 ounce trial container.
I gave this cream to a friend who suffers from frequent knee and occasional wrist pain. She said that while it didn’t take her knee pain away, it did help. My friend usually wears a knee brace when she goes out. Now she has added this product to her routine, applying it on before she puts on her knee brace. Her pain has gone down a lot more than it normally would have with just the knee brace. She said that before the product her pain was at about a 7/10, and after using the product it was at about a 4/10.
The Cool Mint Cream
The other muscle/joint healer was Muscle Marvel Natural Muscle and Joint Liniment With Natural Cooling Mint. This is the exact same product as above, however, it is infused with peppermint essential oil, which gives it a “cool mint” aroma with a hint of hemp. This one also comes in a 1.5 ounce pump bottle with 750 mg of CBD, and is available in the .25 ounce trial size jar as well.
My friend preferred the Cooling Mint rub over the first rub. The peppermint gave it a more cooling effect, which eased her sore joints/knee.
Skin Stuff
The last product I tried was called Skin Stuff.
It comes in a 1 ounce pump bottle with 750 mgs of CBD. This product is light and creamy; it feels like it’s whipped. This product has a multitude of fruit seed oils in it leading it to smell like sweet candy, reminding me of fruit punch or Sour Patch Kids. I couldn’t smell any hemp at all in this salve until after I put it on my skin. Once it starts to settle in, there is a slight planty aroma, but it’s not overwhelming.
This product is supposed to be used on irritated skin, whether it’s a rash, sunburn, scratch or anything in between. It’s ultra hydrating, and once it is rubbed in, it makes the skin feel very soft and smooth.
I didn’t have any rashes or skin problems to really test this to its full extent. But I can see how this would be helpful for dry/cracked skin because of its soothing, moisturizing properties.
In addition to CBD, Skin Stuff also contains aloe vera, which gives it a slight cooling effect. Because of that, I can imagine it’s great for sunburns or other types of burns.
Worth it?
Crappy’s Feel Better muscle rubs were moderately effective, but enjoyable. Both my friend and I look forward to using these products in the future, and keeping them handy for minor aches, pains or injuries.
In terms of price, the big bottles (1.5 ounces) cost $30, while the small trial jars (.25 ounces) cost $5 each. The price tag for the larger bottles is reasonable when compared to similar products on the market. However, not all brands offer trial sizes. The trial jars are great options as each comes with enough to test the product for at least a week if not more so you can be sure if you like the products before paying the full $30 for a bottle.
