Morning CBD Mocktail

Not all cities permit CBD-infused beverage sales–ehem, NYC. But there are plenty of resources out there that can help get those creative juices flowing, inspiring delicious DIYs.

Sometimes overcast, winter mornings can require a little pick-me-up, even if it’s too early for booze. That’s likely why Mother Earth gave us cannabis, as if to say, “morning refreshments don’t have to be boring.” Meanwhile, OJ will forever hold the crown for most breakfast-y beverage, and what better way to celebrate its reign than to infuse it with CBD?

Stirring a few milliliters of Sow Eden’s Comfort Hemp Elixir into the citrus royalty creates the perfect base. It’s flavors combine orange and vanilla, offering dreamy, creamy notes which complement the brightness brought by sparkling water. Then, it’s all about the cocktail-inspired accoutrements, like ginger and fresh herbs. The result: the perfect morning mocktail to enjoy at home.

Of course, if someone were to turn this wholesome virgin delight into a cheeky cocktail, a splash (or two) of gin or vodka wouldn’t hurt.

Serves: 1

Prep: 5 minutes

Total: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

8 ounces orange juice or blood orange juice, freshly squeezed

4 ounces lime sparkling water

1 teaspoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon peeled, freshly grated ginger

0.5 mL Sow Eden Comfort Hemp Elixir

1 sprig rosemary

Instructions:
Squeeze fresh orange juice to a cocktail shaker. Add the maple syrup, ginger, and shake well. Strain into a glass. Add sparkling water, and hemp tincture. Stir gently. Garnish with a rosemary sprig. Enjoy.
